The work we've accomplished
Our time is running out, so we would like to share our work from the past six months with you.
There have been exhibitions, radioshows, short movies and posters, but we will now give you the links to our informative movies which you can find on our youtube account (evspraxis)
Hope you like it.. We sure do!
The first one is a movie we did about Fare Action Week to work against racism and other common issues within football:

This is from a cleaning up-day at lake Kerkini. It's all about the environment! Go Green.

Then, we participated in an exhibition about the famous poet Yiannis Ritsos, and it looked something like this:

Presentation. Part 2 of 3. Angelica.
So..I'm number 2 in this short presentation.First of all - the picture, don't even ask. I chose it cause I look happy, am wearing my hat, and make my 'thumbs up' which is the only pose I know. But please ignore the rest (as for the red face..)
Well, I'm a 19 year old girl named Angelica, or Nicki - my middlename, as they prefer to call me here in Greece since it means Victory. I like that. Maybe I should use the V-sign when I pose instead..
Anyway. I came here to get an experience for life by living in a collective, broaden my view and learn how to relax. So far, I've taken so much more responsibility than before - this is the first time I live alone (which I don't, I live with Frida and Fox, but you know what I mean), and of course I'm building up a great experience at the moment. I'm telling you, it's not easy to live together with other people 24/7, but you learn very much from them and yourself - even though they can be a pain in the ass sometimes..
Speaking of which - I can't stand loneliness and love company, so I guess living with different personalities and don't even have a bedroom of my own have worked out just fine after all.
So what you wanna know?
Something about me or what we're up to over here?
I can give you a little bit of both.
I came here in September which means I only have 1½ months left.. some keywords for the past time are: gym, a lot of movies, casino in bulgaria, tavli, cafes, akropolis, Mike and his dog, long walks in the valley.. and akane! My newfound love; a greek delicacy I can't get enough of.
And now some keywords about me, myself and I - restless, stuck with a hat on my head, satisfied with most things that happens around me and very sentimental. That's one reason for not wanting to leave this place, I will miss it a lot.
Also, I have an unstoppable desire for taco, candy and coke.
When I get back home, I'll try to earn some money for being able to buy an interrail card for the summer - backpacking around europe with train.
Well, have to bounce or whatever you cool people say! Thank you for listening, over and out,
take care, carpe diem and so on.

Presentation. Part 1 of 3. Frida.
My name is Frida and I am one of the Praxis volunteers, living here in Serres, Greece.
I was born the 31st of January in 1990. That means that I am 19 years old, but it also means that I have the astorlogical sign of being an Aquarius:) If that..eh is important somehow.
I come from a family of five (alltogether) and I have one big brother and one younger sister. After this summer, when I had graduated from The International Baccalaureate, I wanted to do something else before I start sudy at the University, soo.. I come here:)
I was born in Karlstad in Sweden and have lived all my life in a small town called Kristinehamn. It was not until now in my life that I actually had to move. So my first time moving was moving to Greece(!). This may be quite unusual nowadays, I don't know but this is the case of me anyway! ( ..and I think that's cool:P)
So.. What more... Well, I am going to die in a car accident. I am going to be hit by a car when I least expect it (This is something I am very certain of) .

My favourite colours are metallic blue and green. Blue are my eyes and my hair is naturally medium blonde(a typical swedish lady, huh?).
What is important for me is drawing, but also writing. I love the feeling when I can sit in a peaceful environment and just write, write what ever I feel like. Just to be totally honest with my self for once and also to clean up all the mess going on up there in the head. I also draw whenever I feel the inspiration coming. It is also a wonderful way for me to express my creativity.

There are actually some things I have started to learn about myself and others since I came here to Greece. Believe it or not , but living together with other people in a flat in a place like this make you develope as a person, eventhough you don't realise it at first.
I know that I have learnt that I need to be totally honest with my self in the future. Trying to neglect your own personal flow is impossible in the long run. And when I come home I will bring this insight with me, and it will help me grow.:)
I like the forest very much and I love fruits. I could live on fruits.
Good bye!!!!
/yours sincerly Frida
And then we were only three...
Personally I am both happy and a bit sad about this. I think It is very positive that she did decide to cancel this project, because of the fact that she probably will be much happier there. But I also feel a bit of emptiness, since we did not really have a proper good bye. And her room looks so empty!!:O And of course I/we miss her. She was (IS!!) a unique woman that Rose girl XD! I am very happy to have learnt to know her. I really am.:D
So..This is my proper good bye.. GOOD BYE ROSE!!! Take care for gods sake!!!

Wetland
Hi There Everyone! Now it's soon time for us Praxis volonteers to prepare for the World Wetlands Day!
WWD is on the second of February and was introduced to undertake actions aimed at raising public awareness of wetland values and benefits and the Ramsar Convention.
The date marks when the adoption of the convention were undertaken in 1971, and if you want to know more about this day, or the Ramsar Convention in general, please visit this website below.
http://www.ramsar.org/Generally, it its really important to conserve ecosystems, both for the benefits of human and animal lives, but also because of the fantastic beauty of the nature.

Supporting the WWD contributes to conservation of the wetland ecosystems and improved condition of living for the water birds. We humans need to step out of our narrow minded perspective and see the world as a whole picture, from the natures perspective. This in order to find peace and harmony in the environment we live in today, but also the environment we want to live in tomorrow and pass on to our children and their children.
